ADD SUBDOMAIN, MAKE IT RUN & SSL REGISTRATION
NOTE: This Tutorial is for “DirectAdmin Web Panel JBMC 2020 Software”

ADDING SUBDOMAIN


Step 1: Login To your DA Web Panel.
Step 2: In Dashboard select Subdomain Management.
Step 3: Click the button ADD SUBDOMAIN.
Step 4: In Subdomain box input subdomain name. (Eg: mysubdomain) then click button ADD SUBDOMAIN. Upon adding you will notice there is a subdomain name  “mysubdomain.mydomain.com”

MAKE IT RUN

Step 1: Go to DA Web Panel  Dashboard and select DNS Management. (Take note of the A Record)
Type      Name         TTL      Value
A      mysubdomain       14400      188.45.46.76 (this is just a sample address)
A      www.subdomain   14400      188.45.46.76
(optional if you are not using your  Domain Name Host nameserver)
NS      yourdomain.com.         ns1.mymanagementpanel.com.
NS      yourdomain.com.         ns2.mymanagementpanel.com.
Step 2: Go to your Domain Name Host DNS Management and add the  A record that you see in Step 1 and Save your settings. (wait for the Subdomain to verify then try visit “mysubdomain.yourdomain.com)
Name            Type         TTL         Value
MYSUBDOMAIN      A         (depend host)      188.45.46.76
WWW.MYSUBDOMAIN      A                  188.45.46.76
(optional if you don’t want to use the Domain Name Host Nameserver. Go to Domain Name Host Management Tools and Edit Nameservers and put your Web Host Nameserver without the in Step 1 optional and save your settings. It takes 24 Hours to propogate.)
ns1.mymanagementpanel.com
ns2. mymanagementpanel.com



SSL REGISTRATION

(upon visiting your subdomain “mysubdomain.yourdomain.com” link you will notice there is a notification before your url address “ Connection is not secure” this is where SSL  goes in using “ Free Lets Encrypt Certification”)

Step 1. Go to DA Web Panel Dashboard and select SSL Certificates.
Step 2. Select “Free & Automatic certificate from Lets Encrypt”. In Dialog Boxes leave it the way it was but take note of “Lets Encrypt Certificates Entries”
mysubdomain.yourdomain.com
www.mysubdomain.yourdomain.com
click the check box for the two Entries together with the other with default check boxes and click SAVE button wait for the confirmation for success registration of certificates. After the successful registration of certificate visit again the subdomain url address and you will notice the notification Connection is not secure is now Secured…..

+rep quite useful for newcomers. Of all the hostings I ever tried, this is the one that makes life easiest when adding let's encrypt certificates, though. Some wouldn't even allow them, as they profit from selling commercial ssl types.
