Ah I knew I wasn't going crazy.

Default email on the account is actually not a valid email address but a forwarder.

Tldr; it is not accessible nor usable for outside world.

oof so then i made a mistake and changed some of the mail servers that email account is linked too.....any way to reset them? I changed the localhost host for it and replaced it with my own. oof. any fixes? I cant change it back to localhost because it says its an invalid server

You should be able to reset everything to default.
well basically there is a setting in Roundcube where you can switch the domain, I switched the default emails domain to my websites instead of the default localhost. Im just scared email won't work but it seems to be working okay for my other accounts.

Ah! There is no way of resetting from admin end with out a complete refresh. If you are using domain, it "should" be fine, as long as the domain is pointing to the server :)
