what are incoming and outgoing email servers?
« on: May 24, 2020, 04:02:25 AM »
I am trying to setup outlook for my website, however I found an old post saying the incoming and outgoing servers were just mail.yoursite.blank. I tried this with my site and it didn't work, what are the incoming and outgoing servers? also is there any way to change the default email user?

Hiya,
You can use your domain name (without mail subdomain) (assuming it is pointing to the server) or simply use the control panel url :)

Hmm! So couple of quick things,

Have you created an email account yet?
Is your domain successfully pointing towards the server? (Check using intodns.com)

You can try using the server hostname (ger1.mymanagementpanel.com) for the address instead of your domain name.

The default one should use the same password as your control panel login. Try resetting and see what happens?

So if I login with mail.lawrencephotography.site it prompts me with the first box, if i continue and don't remove the @lawrencephotography.site it gives me a pop3 error, but if i do remove it i get the second error message. even with ger1.mymanagement panel the same thing happens.

Not sure what is going on with the default mailbox. Are the other emails working?

Yes, others are, just the default one won't work. I will keep trying to see if I can get it to work, but I don't think I can.
