Hello

Close Support threads
I am suggestion this too that if the person who opened the thread in the Support topic doesn't confirm that the answers helped him then they will get a warning.
For example:
- I am opening a topic
- Someone answer the topic with the helpful message which solve the problem
- I don't confirm after 1 week either that it helped me
- Then I will get a warning

So the thread owner will have 1 week to confirm if the answer helped him/her or not. If no answer then the staff members will close the thread and the thread owner will get warning points.

Another suggestion about warning system
If the member collected for example 10 warning points then they will be banned from the forum and terminated their hosting service.

It will help much to control both the forum and the hosting. Of course in this case everybody need to register with the same email.
To do this the forum registration needs to be changed to the admin manual approval. The forum admin or other staff members will check if the registered user use the same email as in the WHMCS or not. If not then the registration will be declined and/or the staff member can send an email to the specific email that "The registration declined because you didn't use the same email" or something like that.

Sounds good. Thanks for the update :)

Ehh it's ok. I wanted use remote mysql because I couldn't import my database from the phpmyadmin. Because of the max_packet thing limit. I had an image which was it seems big. But I resolved the problem with skip the two values. Without them my website works, it seems. :)

Fantastic call! Somehow completely skipped my mind. I will chalk this up with forum policy’s and have both of those implemented this weekend. I am very sure I can use our parent companies policy.

Hello
As I can see you have some rules how to not use the hosting but you don't mention the privacy policy. Even if it is free hosting it must show somewhere how the hosting/forum use the information.
I am suggestion add some information about privacy policy. Which function what uses and for what, why do you need such information and so on. Plus if you want give opportunity to EU people too then you need to write a long privacy policy because of the GDPR ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Data_Protection_Regulation ).

You are trying to connect from outside or to another server?
If it is the first, this option is disabled by default in the mean time.

If it is the other way around, I just have to open the connecting port.

Support / Mysql Remote support

Hello
Does the server support remote connections to the database?
Because I see in the MySQL Management an option which is Access Host but I can't connect to the mysql server.
I tried so:
  • Create a database
  • Chose the database and to the Access Host I put first time my ip address didn't work so I put a wildcard % and it doesn't work either to allow me to connect the database
  • I tried give as host in the mysql client free1.servedez.com and 212.59.241.137 and I can't connect to the database.

Probably I am doing wrong way or the server was not setup in this way even though there is the option.
